Socialising through the net

there is not one person alive today that does not use the internet to keep in touch with friends and family. Being university students from abroad the internet is pretty much our main source of communication with people from back home and with friends who left for other countires. Keeping in touch on the net is not all that bad. I do not have too many freinds who are on the net that i have never met in person but i do know a person who got married to a girl that he met on the net which shows you the degree of importance these new communication technologies have in the future world. I would assume it would be much different having friends online and having friends in person but it wouoldnt be that bad.
I have been using the internet for a good 7 years or so now. MSN, hotmail and lately facebook are all these different ways of keeping in touch through the internet. Everyone i know uses the internet and most os the time it is to socialise through msn and other types of sites. in order to keep with the times i was also imfluenced to use these communication technologies for socialising. My conclusion being new communication technologies need to be used for trivial things such as socialising because they have their advantages.

Introduction

my name is kaveesh kukreja and im a third year student majoring in marketing. New communication technologies is an elective for me and i took it because its a first year course. The course is quite interesting and does not bore you. do not really know much about the course yet because its only week 3 but i think it would be alright. Everythihg nowdays is computerised and technology is moving upwards at a very fast rate so this course would be really helpful in later life. Communication is also very important in everyday life and using new technology in order to comunicate is extremely important.
